Grand Days Out at Whistlebare
We are delighted to invite you to join us, and one of our brilliant guest tutors for a Grand Day out at Whistlebare. These days are all about learning a new skill, as well as, of course, visiting the farm, lashings of cake, yarn and lots of lovely knitting time.
In the last few years at Whistlebare we have converted a barn next to the farmhouse into a beautiful new hall, with views across the fields down to Holy Island and the sea. We are very excited that in 2021 Maddie Harvey has agreed to come and be part of our Grand Days Out and very much hope that you will want to join us too.
We are very proud of our livestock husbandry and the environmental care we take of our land and we know that our customers care about this too. So, as well as learning exciting new skills with our guest tutors we are offering to show you all around Whistlebare and introduce you to our goats, sheep, pigs and chickens.
We will also feed you regularly on home baked cake with cups of tea and coffee. Lunch is also home made and is from local produce. All diets can be catered for but please let us know in advance.
We have had a number of enquiries about getting to Whistlebare and it is true we are in a very rural area. We are however, close to the main East Coast Line. Our local station is Berwick-Upon-Tweed which is 40 minutes from both Newcastle and Edinburgh stations and we are going to provide a bus service from and to Berwick station. Please let us know if you are interested in travelling by Whistlebare Bus!
Please scroll down for a full description of the workshop.
