Lindisfarne Scarf

The inspiration for this lovely scarf was the many monasteries of the Scottish Borders and St Cuthbert’s Way culminating at Lindisfarne. The scarf is comprised of three distinct sections, each with a pattern of cables and lace. It takes two skeins of Yeavering Bell DK. It was the pattern for our first ever Knit Along and its Ravelry Thread is still open and active in Group ‘Whistlebare’. Do join us there to show off your lovely scarf!

Lindisfarne is a scarf of many delights. Living on an island with a rich tapestry of history and Celtic influences, and an incredible and ever changing coastal landscape makes it hard for Lindisfarne scarf to be only one thing, hence the different sections of this scarf that show off everything that is wonderful about Lindisfarne. Happy on the coast, gently contemplating the reflections in the water, or energetically wandering along the shore or soaking up the rich cultural and artistic history Lindisfarne scarf will take you wherever you want to go and add a rich sense of style and culture to your wardrobe.
