Brackenside Pines Jersey
We’re really thrilled to be collaborating again with the wonderful Katt from Heather and Hops who designed the gorgeous Spring Intentions Wrap.
Katt recently spent some time on the farm helping with the shearing and whilst she was here she was inspired to design this fabulous sweater and hat.
We adore the matching hat and depending on what size you are knitting, and your tension you could have enough yarn left over to knit one!
The Brackenside Pines Jersey is a bottom-up jersey, knitted both flat and in the round.
A cosy jersey for the cooler weather, it’s knitted using Yeavering Bell DK & Cheviot Marsh 4ply yarns held together throughout. You need to choose a Main Colour – MC and a Contrast Colour – CC for both yarns. If you need help choosing and combining colours just ask! The Yeavering Bell colours can all be see if you scroll down this page. The Cheviot Marsh colours can be seen in the photo gallery.
Brackenside Pines is a simple shape with fun features to keep you interested for the whole project, it includes a tubular cast-on, a tubular bind-off and a fun colourwork pattern with a little texture.
The details have been inspired by a glorious line of trees near Whistlebare’s studio in Northumberland. It is a wonderful opportunity to knit this jumper in the yarn made just metres away from the inspiration!
