Cloudy Days by Alicia Plummer 

Alicia says she designed this sweater for the coziest of days- cloudy days! The clouds are create with brioche tucks and it should knit up quickly on big needles.

Fronts and back are knit flat, joined at the shoulders with a 3 needle bind off, then seamed at the sides, the sleeves are picked up and knit in the round.

41.5, 44, 48.5, 53, 56, 60.5, 63, 67.5, 70, 74.5, 77”/ 105.5, 111, 123, 135.5, 141.5, 153.5, 159.5, 171.5, 178, 190, 195.5 cm

Intended to be worn with 5-10”/ 15-25 cm positive ease.  Sample shown in size 44”/ 111 cm on a 34”/ 86 cm bust with 10”/ 25 cm positive ease.

Yarn requirements

We think our Yeavering Bell DK would be a lovely yarn for this project, and will highlight the puffy cloudiness of the design.

size 41.5, 44, 48.5, 53″ – choose small –  5 skeins

sizes 56, 60.5″ – choose medium –  6 skeins

sizes 63, 67.5″- choose large –  7 skeins

size 70″  – choose X large –  8 skeins

sizes 74.5, 77″ choose  – XX large – 9 skeins

These are just approximations. Total yarn usage will depend on your personal gauge, and any modifications you may make.

Gauge

14 stitches and 24 rows = 10 cm in Puff Stitch
