Mohair Socks by Corrymoor
Our very first Angora buck came from Corrymoor down in Devon. He was a very fine boy named Havelock and much of our current herd includes his bloodline. We are very pleased to be stocking mohair socks from Corrymoor.
Mohair is the most durable of all animal fibres and also readily transfers moisture making it ideal for wicking away perspiration from damp feet. Mohair socks will keep your feet comfortable in both cold and warm climates.
We are offering two socks, the Companion and the Gentle Top.
The Companion is a calf length sock with a cushioned sole, reinforced heel and ribbed leg. This sock is designed for comfort and protection along with extreme durability. The Companion is perfect for walking, hiking, climbing, farming, and gardening. Ideal for industrial and heavy everyday use in wellies, boots and shoes. If you are on your feet all day, then you need a Companion!
The Gentle-Top is a calf length, plain-knit, lightweight sock. It has a hand-linked toe seam, an elastic-free top and ribbed leg which holds with even pressure. The Gentle-Top is machine washable, durable and comfortable. The Gentle-Top is ideal for wearing in shoes or lightweight boots. It is especially suitable for people who have poor circulation, Reynaud’s syndrome and diabetes.
Both these designs are hard wearing and will last for ages. They are resilient and will keep their shape after many days of wear. Odour resistant (smooth mohair fibres have nowhere for smelly foot bacteria to lurk). Can be machine washed at 40⁰c (see washing instructions). Fibre Content: 55% Mohair, 45% JAS Nylon.
