Homebody Socks by Helen Stewart – Curious Handmade
The Homebody Socks are a cuddly, squishy, at-home pair of socks to keep your toes toasty on leisurely, lazy days. If you must go out, they also make a warm and sturdy pair of boot socks. They are knit in DK weight yarn, which means they’re very quick to knit. Featuring ribbing and a sweet-but-simple mock cable stitch pattern and finished with a heel flap and gusset, the pattern includes four sizes and so great for gift kitting, just don’t forget to make a pair for yourself!

Made with our Cuthbert's sock
Whistlebare’s own sock yarn, 80% mohair and 20% Wensleydale from our own goats and sheep, tightly twisted for hard working feet.
Mohair is the perfect fibre for socks. It has the highest rub test of any natural fibre so you don’t need nylon. Nothing is better for keeping cold feet warm and hot feet cool than natural fibres. Mohair and Wensleydale are very lustrous and smooth, meaning bacteria can’t get hold and so there is no smell! All round the perfect blend for active feet.
