Joji says that her latest design – Mabel’s Sweater was inspired by Only Murders In The Building a popular TV series.

“As soon as I saw Mabel, the main character, show up on episode 1 with a yellow, waffle texture pullover I just knew I needed to replicate it.”

This is not brioche! Don’t worry ! The textured pattern is a mix of simple ribbing and Fisherman’s Rib.

This pullover is knitted from the top-down in one piece. It has raglan sleeves and a subtle neck shaping. Finally the neckband is picked up and knitted once the sweater is finished.

We think our Yeavering Bell 4ply will be just gorgeous for this design so we’ve set up this page so you can select your yarn. If you wanted a similar colour to Joji then I might suggest looking at Broadsword.

Sizes
1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9). Shown in size 3 on a 35” (88 cm) bust.
Recommended ease: 2-4” (5-10 cm) of positive ease.

Finished measurements
Bust circumference: 30½ (34½, 38½, 42½, 46½, 50½, 54½, 58½, 62½)“ 76 (86, 96, 106, 116, 126, 136, 146, 156) cm.

Yarn

Sizes 1,2,3,4. select small – 4 skeins

Sizes 5,6. select medium – 5skeins

Sizes 7,8,9. select large – 6 skeins

Needles

3.25 mm and 3 mm circular needles, at least 80 cm long.

Gauge
21 sts and 40 rows to 10cm x 10cm  in Waffle St on 3.25 mm needles after blocking.
