Peach Fuzz by Melanie Berg
Melanie describes this design as a very personal, it’s about beating cancer, about inching back into a normal life after finishing therapy, about regaining strength, confidence – and hair!
I was immediately drawn to it because of the dramatic ribbed boat neck, the colour blocking and the wonderful striped sleeves. Knitted top down and in the round it features twisted stitches and a split hem and could easily become one of those sweaters that you always reach for.

Sizes
Measurements given are for the finished garment. The sweater is designed to fit with about 8” / 20 cm of positive ease at the bust, less for larger sizes. Photos show size 2 on a 36” / 91.5 cm bust model. Please note that with this construction, you can pick a different size for the body and the sleeves.

size 1,2 – select small -2 skeins colour A, 3 skeins colour B, 1 skein colour C, 1 skein colour D.
size 3 – select medium – 3 skeins colour A, 3 skeins, colour B, 1 skein colour C, 1 skein colour D.
size 4 – select large – 3 skeins colour A, 4 skeins colour B, 1 skein colour C, 1 skein colour D.
sizes 5,6,7 – select X large – 3 skeins colour A, 4 skeins colour B, 2 skeins colour C, 1 skein colour D.
In these photos colour A is the olive, colour B is the gold, colour C is a chalky pink and colour D is a very pale apricot/cream colour.
These are just approximations. Total yarn usage will depend on your personal gauge, and any modifications you may make. Check sizing table on pattern for garment dimensions. If you wish to add length to the body, you may need extra yarn. Please always swatch to check that you meet the gauge of the pattern, and adjust your needles if necessary.
I think this would be gorgeous in our Cheviot Marsh DK and so this is what you can select here. It would also be gorgeous in Yeavering Bell DK and the yarn quantities would be the same.
