SOFT LOOP SWEATER  by Maja of Other Loops is a light and soft sweater with turtleneck and an elegant striped structure.

The body has a boxy and oversize fit with straight sleeves. Worked top down, first the turtleneck and upper part of the yoke are worked in the round with shoulder increases. Then the work is divided for the front and back, which are worked flat before joined again for the body. The body and sleeves are worked in the round. The garment also features a striped structure made with knit- and purl-stitches according to a simple chart, which is repeated throughout the sweater.

Measurements.
Bust circumference. 120 (130) 144 cm measured under the arm hole.
Length. 64 (65) 65 cm including the neckband.
Maja recommends knitting a size which allows for a positive ease of 25-40 cm relative to your bust circumference, depending on how oversize a fit you wish for.

Needles:

4mm & 4.5mm

Gauge:

20 stitches and 28 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch after wash and blocking.

How much Yarn  will I need?  

Originally designed for holding several strands of lace and mohair together, we are suggesting substituting our Yeavering Bell 4ply for this design.

For Sizes 1,2 choose small – 4 skeins.

For Sizes 3 choose medium – 5 skeins.
