Calling all wannabe dressmakers. Friendly, inclusive machine sewing classes at Whistlebare Fold are available to book.  Classes are taught by lovely Theresa who has extensive experience working in all aspects of garment manufacturing including design, pattern cutting and tailoring. Theresa has also taught sewing skills to fashion students at Galashiels. Lots of individual attention is guaranteed as each class will have a maximum of four participants. Tuition will take place using beautiful Bernina 830 Record sewing machines – these are old, solid work horses that are simple to use and whose stitch quality is dreamy.

Every session will include coffee (or any other drink) and cake from our coffee shop, tuition sewing machines. Our two beginners courses also include all other tools and materials required.

For our multi session dress making courses please bring your own hand tools including scissors, snips, quick unpick, pins, hand sewing needles, tape measure and tailors chalk (many of which are available in the shop). Garment fabric must be from Whistlebare Fold but you are welcome to bring your choice of pattern and other haberdashery.

Parking is free all day, in the car park right outside the shop.
